Wayne Kozun was named senior vice president, fixed income and alternative investments, at the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, Toronto.
The appointment was among several announced Monday by the C$129.5 billion (US$125 billion) pension fund, effective Oct. 21.
Mr. Kozun takes over from Ron Mock, who in May was named CEO at the pension fund to replace Jim Leech, who is retiring on Dec. 31.
Mr. Kozun is senior vice president, public equities, at OTPP. He will be replaced by Michael Wissell, senior vice president, tactical asset allocation and natural resources.
Ziad Hindo, vice president, global opportunities and natural resources, will handle Mr. Wissell's previous duties.
Jane Rowe, senior vice president, Teachers' Private Capital, will now also oversee the pension fund's long-term equities group and will replace Mr. Mock on the board of Cadillac Fairview, the pension fund's real estate subsidiary.
Andrew Claerhout, vice president, Teachers' Private Capital, was promoted to senior vice president, infrastructure. He will take over infrastructure duties that had been handled by Ms. Rowe, said Deborah Allan, OTPP spokeswoman. His replacement has not yet been named.
