Norfolk County Retirement System, Canton, Mass., is searching for an active domestic microcap equity manager to run $15 million, confirmed Kathleen Kiely-Becchetti, executive director.
It is the $650 million pension fund's first search for a microcap manager, Ms. Kiely-Becchetti said in a telephone interview. A funding source has not been determined, and more than one manager could be hired, she added.
Investment consultant Wainwright Investment Counsel is assisting.
The RFP is available on Wainwright's website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EDT April 5. A hiring date has not been decided.
Separately, the pension fund hired Sherman Actuarial Services as its new actuary, replacing Buck Consultants, Ms. Kiely-Becchetti said. Buck did not rebid.
