Altius Associates adds partner and U.S. investments head

William Charlton joined private equity consultant and money manager Altius Associates as a partner and head of U.S. investments, confirmed Jamie Brownlee, Altius spokesman, in an e-mail.

This is a new position. Mr. Charlton is senior lecturer in finance at the University of Texas at Austin and also associate director of The Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst Center for Private Equity Finance. He will be leaving the university at the end of the semester, Mr. Brownlee said.
