Mesa, Ariz., on lookout for bundled provider

Mesa, Ariz., is searching for a bundled provider for its 457 deferred compensation plan for firefighters, according to an RFP posted on the city's website.
Hartford Retirement Services is the current provider. It could not be determined by press time whether they are invited to rebid.
The 457 plan had $31.5 million in assets as of Sept. 30 and 30 investment options.
SST Benefits Consulting is assisting in the search.
The RFP is available on the city's website. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. MST March 13. A hiring decision is expected on April 24, with a transition start date of May 1.
Alyce Benge, purchasing administrator, and Bill Tugaw, president and CEO at SST, could not be reached for additional information by press time.
