According to Fitch Ratings, U.S. corporate bond issuance soared to $905.6 billion in 2012, up 32% from a year earlier. The largest increases by rating came from those rated 'B' and 'CCC-C,' with year-over-year increases of 58% and 45%, respectively. At the end of 2012, industrials accounted for 71% of outstanding U.S. issues at $3.1 trillion, up from $2.2 trillion in 2009.
