Societe Generale's global investment management leader steps down

Jacques Ripoll resigned as head of global investment management and services at Societe Generale, according to a news release.
Mr. Ripoll “has decided to pursue his career outside the group,” according to the release.
Mr. Ripoll joined the company in September 2009 to oversee Societe Generale Asset Management, which merged in December with Credit Agricole Asset Management to form Amundi Asset Management.
Officials at Societe Generale could not be reached by press time.
