KKR Mezzanine Partners gets new chief

Marc Ciancimino, London-based European head of KKR's mezzanine group, will lead KKR Mezzanine Partners now that Frederick Goltz, the head of KKR Asset Management's credit strategies group who helped establish and led KKR Mezzanine Partners, has left the firm, according to a memo for Tuesday's meeting of the Fresno County (Calif.) Employees' Retirement Association.
According to the memo by Jeffrey MacLean, CEO and senior consultant for Wurts & Associates, Fresno's general investment consulting firm, Mr. Goltz left for personal reasons.
Kristi Huller, KKR spokeswoman confirmed Mr. Goltz's departure and that Mr. Ciancimino will be heading KKR's mezzanine debt business. Mr. Goltz could not be reached for comment by press time.
