C.H. Meili was named director of real estate investments at the $40 billion Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association, Denver, confirmed spokeswoman Katie Kaufmanis.
He replaces Jim Lavan, who retired effective Feb. 1. Mr. Meili oversees the pension fund's $3 billion in real estate investments. He reports to Jennifer Paquette, chief investment officer.
Mr. Meili was a senior real estate portfolio manager for the pension plan. No decisions have been made about filling the position, Ms. Kaufmanis said.
