MOSERS' board elects new chairman

Antwaun Smith was elected chairman of the board of trustees of the $8 billion Missouri State Employees' Retirement System, Jefferson City, confirmed spokeswoman Krista Myer.

Mr. Smith was elected chairman by the 11-member board at its Jan. 17 meeting. The previous chairman, Don Martin, served from January 2010 to December 2012, and remains on the board.

Mr. Smith, co-founder of the Smith Law Office, based in St. Joseph and Kansas City, Mo., was appointed to the board in August 2011 by Gov. Jay Nixon.
