Texas Teachers signs up 2 for real estate

Texas Teacher Retirement System, Austin, committed $15 million each to two small real estate managers, confirmed Juliana Fernandez Helton, in an e-mail.

Savanna Investment Management is a real estate-oriented private equity firm that manages $899 million, according to its most recent ADV filing with the SEC.

TriGate Capital is a real estate manager with $223 million under management, according to its ADV filing.

As of Sept. 30, the $112.4 billion pension fund had 10.75% allocated to real estate.
