Flows into exchange-traded products eclipsed $260 billion in 2012, according to BlackRock (BLK)'s monthly ETP Landscape report. North American equities led all asset classes with $76.3 billion. Fixed-income net flows hit a record $70 billion during the year and accounted for nearly 27% of the total in 2012. Emerging markets equities saw $54.8 billion in net flows during the year, more than four-and-a-half times higher than 2011, as the MSCI Emerging Markets index rose more than 18% during the year.
