T. Timothy Ryan Jr. was named global head of regulatory strategy and policy at J.P. Morgan Chase, according to a news release.
Mr. Ryan is president and CEO of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association; he will leave that post Feb. 23. Kenneth E. Bentsen Jr., executive vice president, public policy and advocacy at SIFMA, will become acting president and CEO at that time.
The SIFMA board of directors will conduct a search for a permanent replacement. Mr. Bentsen is a candidate for the position, according to a SIFMA spokesman.
Mark Kornblau, J.P. Morgan Chase spokesman, did not return a phone call for further information by press time.
