O'Shaughnessy names managing director for new Chicago office

David W. Baeckelandt was named managing director, institutional sales and client service, at O'Shaughnessy Asset Management, confirmed spokeswoman Megan McDonnell.
It is a new position. Mr. Baeckelandt will also lead the firm's new Chicago office, which is opening in early January.
Mr. Baeckelandt was director of sales and marketing at Segall Bryant & Hamill. A phone call to Phillip Hildebrandt, CEO, for more information was not returned by press time.
