Arkansas Teacher Retirement System, Little Rock, committed up to $25 million to EnCap Energy Capital IX, a private equity fund managed by EnCap Investments, confirmed George Hopkins, executive director of the $11.7 billion pension fund.
Private equity consultant Franklin Park assisted.
The pension plan invested $47.5 million in the predecessor EnCap fund, Mr. Hopkins said in a telephone interview.
