Exchange-traded product flows at record highs through November


According to BlackRock's monthly ETP Landscape report, year-to-date flows for exchange-traded products were $218.9 billion through November. That figure eclipsed the previous record in 2008 when flows through the first 11 months were $208.5 billion. Developed and emerging markets equity products have accounted for 59% of flows, followed by fixed income with 31%, commodities with 8% and "other" at 2%. As of Nov. 30, there were 4,747 global exchange-traded products - up 11% from a year earlier.
