St. Petersburg (Fla.) Fire Pension Fund will be conducting an invitation-only search for an active domestic midcap value equity manager to run about $10 million, confirmed Vicki Grant, manager, benefits for the city.
The $195 million pension fund terminated Buckhead Capital Management from a similar portfolio due to performance.
Investment consultant Southeastern Advisory Services will bring a shortlist to the pension fund's board in February, according to Ms. Grant.
Buckhead spokesman Terry Miller did not return a phone call seeking comment by press time.
