Michael A. Cirami and Eric A. Stein were named co-directors of the Eaton Vance (EV) Management (EV)'s global income group, confirmed spokeswoman Colleen Lavery.
They will replace Mark S. Venezia, vice president and director of global fixed income, who will retire at the end of 2012. Messrs. Cirami and Stein will begin their new roles Dec. 6 and will retain their current duties as portfolio managers.
Mr. Stein is also currently a co-portfolio manager of Eaton Vance Strategic Income Fund with Mr. Venezia sharing that role. Kathleen C. Gaffney, who joined Eaton Vance in October as vice president and co-director of investment-grade fixed income, will replace Mr. Venezia as co-manager of the fund.
Also, John R. Baur, vice president and portfolio manager, was named director of global portfolio analysis, and Michael P. O'Brien, vice president and head of global trading, was promoted to director of global trading. Both are new positions that integrate some of Mr. Venezia's previous responsibilities.
