Cincinnati Financial Corp., Fairfield, Ohio, hired Fidelity Investments as record keeper of its 401(k) plan, confirmed spokeswoman Joan O. Shevchik.
The plan's previous record keeper was Fifth Third Bank Retirement Plan Services. Ms. Shevchik said the company wanted a provider that could deal with large, complex retirement issues; she couldn't elaborate.
A blackout period will begin Dec. 24 and end during the week of Jan. 13.
As of Dec. 31, the Cincinnati Financial Corp. Tax-Qualified Savings Plan had $187 million in assets, according to the company's most recent 11-K filing.
A phone call to Michael J. Sewell, CFO, was referred to Ms. Shevchik.
