Nevada Higher Education Prepaid Tuition Trust Fund, Carson City, is searching for an actuarial consultant, confirmed Troy Watts, marketing coordinator for state Treasurer Kate Marshall.
Incumbent Sherman Actuarial Services is invited to rebid. Its contract expires June 30.
The selected consultant will prepare the annual actuarial study and develop annual pricing models among other responsibilities, according to the RFP. The 529 plan has $141.8 million in assets.
The RFP is available on the treasurer's website. Proposals are due at 5 p.m. PST Nov. 30. A hiring decision is expected before the end of the year.
