From the hedge fund research company that brought you the first Internet-based hedge fund video station, BarclayHedge TV, comes the first iPad-based hedge fund risk analyzer.
BarclayHedge Ltd., a hedge fund database provider, has the perfect solution for hedge fund alpha dogs who don't want to waste commuting time reading financial thriller novels on their iPads.
Now they can run Transparency Analytics, a cloud-based software package developed by Risk-AI LLC, New York, on the more than 12,000 hedge, managed futures and global macro funds in BarclayHedge's database well away from the confines of their desks.
“Our partnership with Risk-AI is helping (to) bring reliable hedge fund data and analysis out into the marketplace, wherever iPad connectivity is available,” said Sol Waksman, founder and president of BarclayHedge, in a joint news release from both companies.
By way of example, Aleksey Matiychencko, Risk-AI's CEO and senior partner, noted in the release that “you could do a quick check on the performance of a hedge fund manager you hear at a conference or meet at a networking event. It could also prove useful during due diligence meetings.”
