American Century Investments names COO

Patrick Bannigan

Patrick Bannigan joined American Century Investments as executive vice president and COO, confirmed spokesman Chris Doyle.

Mr. Bannigan joined the firm Monday and replaces Barry Fink, executive vice president, who is retiring from the firm effective Feb. 15, and will assist with the transition.

Mr. Bannigan was previously president of RiverSource Funds and senior vice president and general manager of RiverSource Investments.

Ryan Lund, spokesman at Columbia Management, formerly RiverSource, did not return a phone call by press time.
