Gabriela “Gabby” Parcella was named chairwoman of Mellon Capital Management's board of directors, effective Dec. 31, confirmed spokesman Mike Dunn.
Ms. Parcella will replace Charlie Jacklin, who is retiring at the end of the year.
Ms. Parcella was named CEO in March 2011 and has worked at Mellon Capital since 1997. The firm finished the third quarter with a record $258.9 billion in assets under management.
“Under Gabby Parcella's leadership, Mellon Capital has achieved strong growth as it builds on its expertise in global asset allocation, alternative investments and indexing,” Curtis Arledge, CEO of BNY Mellon Investment Management, said in a news release.
