Husam Nazer and Brendt Stallings, senior portfolio managers of small-cap and smidcap growth equity strategies at TCW, will leave the company Dec. 31, confirmed Peter Viles, managing director, corporate communications for TCW.
Effective Thursday, Mike Olson and Chang Lee are being promoted to co-portfolio managers from senior analysts, and will lead the small-cap and smidcap team after the contracts of Messrs Nazer and Stallings expire at the end of the year.
Messrs. Nazer and Stallings could not be reached for comment by press time.
“The elevation of Mike and Chang into these roles will give us a seamless transition across these portfolios, with continuity in terms of investment objectives and philosophy,” Mr. Viles said. “We appreciate Brendt and Husam's many years of dedicated service to TCW.”
The small-cap and smidcap equity team manages about $4 billion in assets.
TCW has four equity teams, including small-cap and smidcap. Craig Blum, group managing director of U.S. equities and portfolio manager of TCW's Concentrated Core equity strategy agreed to a new contract in September.
“We fully expect the other TCW equity teams to stay with TCW,” Mr. Viles said. Senior portfolio managers Diane Jaffee heads the value team, while John Snider and Tom McKissick, group managing directors, co-manage large-cap value.
