New Mexico endowment makes $225 million in alts commitments

New Mexico State Investment Council, Santa Fe, committed $100 million to Brookfield Timberlands Fund V, a real asset fund; $75 million to private equity fund TowerBrook Investors IV and $50 million to Rockpoint Real Estate Fund IV, said Charles Wollmann, spokesman for $16 billion endowment.
The commitments are the first from the investment council with Brookfield Asset Management, TowerBrook Capital Partners and Rockpoint Group.
Separately, the investment council approved the sale of the $4 million property held by a real estate partnership, Dilweg SIC. The investment council plans to sell the partnership to another manager.
