Franklin Regional Retirement System, Greenfield, Mass., is searching for an active domestic core fixed-income manager to run $11 million, confirmed Steven Roth, director of manager research at Dahab Associates, the $87 million pension fund's investment consultant.
The search is being conducted because of state Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission regulations that require that portfolios are put out to bid at least once every five years. The current manager is Income Research & Management and is eligible to rebid.
The RFP is available from Dahab's website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EDT on Nov. 1. A timetable for a decision has yet to be determined.
A phone call to Dale Kowacki, executive director, was not returned by press time.
