Crown Investments Corp. of Saskatchewan, Regina, is searching for an external auditor for the CIC, the Capital Pension Plan and CIC Asset Management, according to an RFP posted on the provincial procurement website.
KPMG is the incumbent for all three entities under CIC, which is a holding company for Saskatchewan's government-owned corporations. It could not be learned by press time whether KPMG is invited to rebid. The contract is for five years and starts with the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2013, according to the RFP.
The Capital Pension Plan, a money purchase defined contribution plan, had about C$1 billion (US$1.02 billion) in assets as of Dec. 31, according to the RFP.
Aon Hewitt is the plan's consultant.
The RFP is available on the SaskTenders website. Proposals are due Oct. 30. A hiring decision is expected on Feb. 28.
John Amundson, corporate controller, did not return a telephone call by press time.
