Metro Washington Airports Authority launches auditor search

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is searching for an auditor for its two defined benefit plans, according to an RFP posted on the authority's website.
Incumbent CliftonLarsonAllen is invited to rebid.
The contract is for three years to audit the financial statements for calendar years 2012, 2013 and 2014, with two additional one-year renewal options.
The General Employees Retirement Plan had $100 million in assets and the Police Officers & Firefighters Retirement Plan, $55 million, both as of Dec. 31, 2010, the most recent available data in the authority's financial statements.
The RFP is available on the authority's website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EDT Oct. 16. A hiring decision is expected in December.
