Alaska Permanent Fund posts job to oversee special opportunities portfolio

Alaska Permanent Fund Corp., Juneau, is searching for a senior portfolio manager to oversee the $42.5 billion sovereign wealth fund's special opportunities portfolio, confirmed spokeswoman Laura Achee.
It is a new position.
The $7 billion special opportunities portfolio includes absolute return, real return, mezzanine debt, distressed debt and multiasset emerging markets, Ms. Achee said in a telephone interview. The portfolio manager will report to Jay Willoughby, chief investment officer. The size of the portfolio could not be learned by deadline.
Information on the position is available on the sovereign wealth fund's employment page. Responses are due Oct. 22. No date has been set for a hiring decision, Ms. Achee said.
