Ahmed Hamdani and Duncan Priston joined Bayside Capital, the distressed debt affiliate of private equity firm H.I.G. Capital, according to the firm's website.
Both men are based in London and are managing directors.
Mr. Hamdani leads Bayside's non-corporate distressed investment team focusing on asset classes such as real estate, shipping and aircraft. He was previously a portfolio manager at credit hedge fund Trafalgar Asset Managers. Trafalgar's funds were transferred to CapeView Capital, and Mr. Hamdani will not be replaced, according to a CapeView spokeswoman who asked not to be named.
Mr. Priston leads Bayside's non-control distressed corporate debt team. He was previously a partner and head of European trading at Strategic Value Partners. Calls to SVP and Bayside were not returned.
