Seattle City Employees' Retirement System is searching for an auditor, according to an RFP posted on the $1.9 billion pension fund's website.
Incumbent Moss Adams' contract expired at the end of 2011. It could not be learned by press time whether it is invited to rebid.
The contract is for four years, starting Jan. 1, and will cover financial statements for calendar years ending 2012 to 2015. The contract could be extended for an additional year.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website at www.seattle.gov/retirement/rfp.htm.
Proposals are due at 5 p.m. PDT Oct. 12. A hiring decision is expected by Nov. 15.
