Plymouth County (Mass.) Retirement Association is searching for an active domestic midcap growth equity manager to run $35 million, confirmed William Farmer, executive director.
The $640 million pension fund is required by state law to put such services out to bid at least once every five years, according to Mr. Farmer.
Wellington Management, the portfolio's current manager, is invited to rebid.
The RFP is available on investment consultant Wainwright Investment Counsel's website at http://diablo.evero.net/nickweb/wic/register.asp.
Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EDT Oct. 9. The timetable for finalist presentations and a final selection has yet to be determined.
