Superannuation Arrangements of the University of London hired Legal & General Investment Management as liability-driven investment manager, said Michael Walsh, LGIM's head of solutions distribution and management for the £1.6 billion ($2.6 billion) pension fund.
The mandate focuses on LDI solutions across the entire pension fund, including interest rate and inflation hedging. SAUL did not have a dedicated LDI manager prior to the appointment of LGIM. Consultant Redington advised.
As of the end of June, LGIM had about £170 billion in LDI assets under management and advisement.
