Attleboro (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for large-cap domestic equity managers to run a total of $28 million, said Steven Roth, director of manager research at Dahab Associates, investment consultant to the $205 million pension fund.
Massachusetts state law requires RFPs at least once every five years. Current managers Boston Advisors, which runs $14 million in an active portfolio, and RhumbLine Advisers, which runs $14 million in a passive portfolio, may rebid.
The pension fund is considering at least two managers to run either active or passive strategies, according to Mr. Roth.
Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EDT on Oct. 12. A timetable for a decision has yet to be determined.
The RFP is available on Dahab's website.
Leslie J. Ring, board administrator, referred questions to Dahab Associates.
