Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System selected BlackRock (BLK), RhumbLine Advisers and State Street Global Advisors to manage a total of $3.7 billion in multiple passive investment mandates, according to board minutes for the $10.5 billion fund.
The initial mandates include S&P 500, Russell 1000 Growth, MSCI World ex-US and Barclays Capital Aggregate, according to the recently released minutes for the June 26 board meeting.
The fund launched an invitation-only search in April.
Separately, fund officials plan to search for one manager for a non-U.S. equities emerging markets core, value and growth mandates and another manager to run a non-U.S. equities developed markets core, value and growth portfolios, the minutes state.
