The Chicago-based position is new, confirmed Matthew Malloy, managing director and head of global insurance solutions at J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
Mr. Tuttle was a managing director responsible for business development at Green Eagle Capital, a short-bias credit hedge fund manager. In a telephone interview, Mr. Malloy said Mr. Tuttle's insurance industry ties and diverse investment background make him an important addition at a time when insurers are looking at outside managers for strategies to cope with a low interest-rate environment.
Glenn Migliozzi, managing member and chief investment officer of Green Eagle Capital, said his firm has no plans to replace Mr. Tuttle.
