Foundations' 2010 990 PFs reveal asset growth

Many of the nation's largest foundations have filed their 2010 Form 990 PFs. The data reveal a slight upward trend in total investment assets. Of the reports that have been filed, total investment assets increased to $72.482 billion from $68.126 billion. Other investments, which generally comprise alternative investments, saw almost across-the-board growth.
