Barry joined P&I in 1984 as a reporter. He now is responsible for writing editorial and editorial columns and editing editorial commentaries. He also writes news stories on corporate governance and a broad range of institutional investment topics. Prior to joining P&I, Barry worked as a reporter and editor at a number of other newspapers. He has received, among other awards, the Northwestern University Medill School/Strong Funds award for editorial columns, the Peter Lisagor award for editorials and the National Herbert Bayard Swope award for news writing. Barry has an M.B.A., concentrating in finance and accounting, from the University of Notre Dame du Lac and an A. B. in history from Indiana University.
